Welcome to Hemlock Hills Elk Ranch & Homestead

Nestled in the heart of America's heartland - the beautiful Missouri Ozarks, Hemlock Hills Elk Ranch & Homestead is more than a ranch — it's a way of life. We believe that what you put into your body matters, and that the best food comes from animals raised with care, on land managed with respect for nature.  This holds true for our elk, pasture pigs, and NON-GMO meat chickens and egg layers.

Our Story

Hemlock Hills was built on a simple idea: raise exceptional elk and let the quality speak for itself. Our elk roam open pastures, graze on natural forage, and live the way nature intended. No shortcuts, no compromises. Just clean, honest ranching from people who are passionate about what they do.

We began raising elk in 2009 in Northcentral Wisconsin.  As we 'matured' the long, brutal Wisconsin winters made it difficult for us to tolerate so in 2019 God led us to move our entire farm to Missouri.  We have expanded our farm and average 100 head of elk plus pigs, chickens, cats and our dog Gunnar.

From our family to yours, every product we offer is a reflection of that commitment — whether it's a bag of elk jerky, a bottle of Wisconsin maple syrup, or an antler chew for your dog.

What We Believe

• Clean ingredients matter. You won't unnecessary additives in our products. Just real, wholesome ingredients you can feel good about.  We do not use ANY steriods, growth hormones, or antibiotics on our animals.
• Elk is nature's superfood - God's greatest animal. Naturally high in protein, low in fat, and rich in essential nutrients, elk meat is one of the cleanest red meats available — and we think it's time more people discovered it.
• Sustainability isn't optional. We manage our land and herd with long-term stewardship in mind, because we want Hemlock Hills to thrive for generations to come.
• Nothing goes to waste. From premium meat snacks to elk antler dog chews and craft components, we honor the whole animal and find purpose in every part.
